What it is
Spark Lab is a small, self-hosted tool that helps one household in Munich keep on top of everyday life: appointments, contract deadlines, the shared shopping list and the family's email.
It runs on the family's own computer at home. It is not a public service: no one outside the household can sign up or use it.
Why it asks for Google access
When a family member connects their own Google account, Spark Lab can:
- sort and label their Gmail messages and prepare draft replies for them to review,
- read their Google Calendar and add appointments they approve.
It never sends an email, deletes anything or shares data without the account owner's explicit approval. Read the privacy policy for the details.
